Parent Volunteers / Field Trip Chaperones: In preparation for a new school year, please know that Southern Lehigh School District requires parents wishing to accompany students on field trips to have PA State Police Criminal History clearance (Act 34). This clearance can be obtained instantly by using the state's on-line access service. Please see the PARENT VOLUNTEER - FIELD TRIP CHAPERONE link to the left for more information.

Tips to Get Back into the Swing: 1) Stock up together - let children pick some of their own school supplies. They'll be more excited about using their new cool stuff, 2) Get closets organized to cut down on the "where is it" and "what-to-wear" morning dilemmas, 3) Ease into the morning routine a week before school starts by waking the kids up a little earlier each day, 4) Practice the evening routine by setting aside 30-60 minutes for structured activity that will be replaced by the homework hour once school begins, 5) Set up a designated time and place to do homework and stick to the rules. Ready? Set. Go!
