About Me

  • Hi! Here is a little information about me and my educational background...

My name is Beth Dottery and 2016-2017 marks my 11th school year at Southern Lehigh High School. I am a co-advisor of the Scholastic Scrimmage team and am a co-advisor of the Adventure Club.

I am not originally from Pennsylvania, although I have been living here now for over 20 years. I grew up in the southwest (Arizona and New Mexico) and graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Mathematics. After graduating, I headed east and attended Kutztown University where I received my M.Ed. in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction, along with my teaching certification.

This year at Southern Lehigh, I am teaching Honors Geometry, Algebra I, and AP Statistics. In the past, I have also taught Algebra II, Probability & Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry/Algebra III, and Advanced Math Topics (a dual-enrollment college course with a community college).

In my free time (which is not that often!), I love to snow ski, read, scrapbook, camp with my family, and travel. I also use any free time and spare moments to learn something new or go on a new adventure!

Come by my school "home" -Room 209- and say 'hi!' anytime...
