    Mr. Larry A. Fisher is the Director of Bands & Orchestra at Southern Lehigh High School. His current responsibilities include the concert band, orchestra, marching band, jazz band, Music Theory I, AP Music Theory and 4th grade lessons. Mr. Fisher is in his second year teaching at SoLeHi and has taught for 8 years in the Line Mountain School District. 

    A native of Sparta, NJ, Mr. Fisher was born nearby in Bethlehem, PA. While at Sparta High School he was active in the music program participating in marching band, jazz band, concert band, wind ensemble, concert choir, freshman select choir, mens choir, fall plays and spring musicals. After high school he attended Susquehanna University where he received a Bachelor's of Music degree in Music Education. His primary teacher at SU was Dr. Gail Levinsky. He took advantage of every opportunity he could at SU and performed with the university symphonic band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, stadium band, saxophone quartet and jazz quartet. Mr. Fisher will graduate in the Spring of 2017 with a Master's in Wind Conducting from Messiah College. 

    As a saxophonist, Mr. Fisher is very active as a private teacher and musician playing with many groups around the state of Pennsylvania. His private students are consistently selected for District, Region and All-State ensembles in the PMEA festival system. He currently plays with The Clickard Consortium, The Williamsport City Jazz Orchestra and Spencer and the T-Bones. He has also played with the Zeropoint Big Band, Seasoned Sounds Big Band, The Williamsport Symphony Orchestra, Quintessence, the Milton Community Band, the Penn Central Wind Band, the Selinsgrove Adult Band, Prince Charles and the Royal Tones, Daddy O & the Sax Maniax, Autumn's Golden Oldies, The Cinder Brothers, Picture Perfect, After Hours Big Band and Royal Benson. 

    As a featured soloist, he has performed "Harlem Nocturne" (on two occasions) with the Milton Community Band under the direction of Mr. Brett Hosterman. He has performed in masterclasses with Dr. Frederick Hemke, Jean-Marie Londeix, Dr. Bill Street, Dr. Susan Fancher, Dr. Joseph Lulloff and Dr. Griffen Campbell. Mr. Fisher has performed at PMEA, NAfME and NASA conferences. In March of 2015 Mr. Fisher backed Eddie Holman when he opened for The New Stylistics. In April of 2016, Mr. Fisher backed vocalist Tony Desare on stage at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport, PA.
