    Mr. Long

            I began teaching at Southern Lehigh H.S. in the fall of 1992.  The year before I had done a long term substitute position at Lower Merion H.S. in Ardmore, PA.  The year before that I did long term substitute position at Quakertown H.S.
            I am originally from the Lancaster, PA area and graduated in 1984 from J.P. McCaskey H.S.  I graduated from Lehigh University.  In 1988 I completed my B.A. in Mathematics, and in 1989 my B.S. in Engineering Physics.  Finally, in 1990 I completed my M.A. in Secondary Education.
            Since I started teaching at Southern Lehigh H.S. I have taught, Algebra I-A, Algebra I-B, Applied Algebra II and Physics, Geometry, Pre-College Algebra, Trigonometry, Introduction to Chemistry and Physics, Introduction to Earth and Environmental Sciences, Physics I, Physics II and AP Physics.  This year I will be teaching Applied Physics, AP Physics and Finite Math.
            When I began teaching at Southern Lehigh, I also started the Southern Lehigh Speech and Debate team.  In our 24 year history, we have had five state champions and numerous competitors place in the top 10 at states and in the top 50 in the country at nationals.
