Who am I?
This will be my 12th year as a teacher in PA and my 4th year at Southern Lehigh. My first year teaching was in the Lebanon School District as the intermediate grades teacher at the Polaris School. Polaris School was the district's alternative learning center for behaviorally challenged students. After that first year, I was a 7th grade teacher at Harrison-Morton Middle School in the Allentown School District for a year and for the next 6 years I was a 10th grade geometry teacher at William Allen High School in the Allentown School district.
Prior to becoming a teacher, I attended William Allen High School and Lebanon Valley College. While at both schools, I played football and track & field. I graduated from Lebanon Valley in 2005 with my degree in Elementary Education and I also became certified in Mathematics 7-12. I currently hold my permanent (Level II) certificate in PA in both areas. I am also in the process of obtaining my Master's degree from Wilkes University in the field of Classroom Technology.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy playing and coaching sports, traveling to new places, eating new things, working out, and spending time with my family. My wife, Hillary, is also a teacher and together we have two amazing children, Jax and Nia. We also have an English bulldog named Willis. (I'm a huge 49ers fan!)
I'm really looking forward to getting to know all about each of my students throughout this school year!
