American Heart Association: Hoops for Heart

  • To all students and parents,

Just spreading the news about Hoops For Hearts.  This program raises money for the American Heart Association.  In the past 9 years our school has raised over $65,000.

Seventh and eighth grade students will make teams of 4 to 6 players to play 4 on 4 games. All skill levels are welcomed and students really have fun dressing up in costumes.  There will be a student DJ and snack bar.  Students are responsible to pack their own lunch. Sign-ups the minimum of a $15 donation is due by Thursday, Nov. 13th. We are very excited about this fundraiser and wanted to get the word out that all parents are invited to attend.  So, drop by before or after your teacher conference and enjoy!

Family and friends are welcome to support your child’s participation by making contributions. Supporters can donate online at www.heart.org/hoops. All you need to do is help your child register and make a personalized Web page with a picture of your child and a message about why he or she is participating in Hoops For Heart. You can even import your address book from your e-mail application. All checks should be made payable to the American Heart Association.

Hoops For Heart is a fun event that helps our children understand the importance of community service and physical activity.  The money contributed will fund research that will save more lives each year ... maybe your own or that of someone in your family.  Our efforts truly make a difference!
