Tempting Tens

  • Student and Parents,

Below you will find posted all the Tempting Tens that we will be doing throughout the year.  If you are familiar with the Tuesday Dozen, it is similar.  The students will get their Tempting Ten on the first day of the week (usually Monday) and it will be due on the last day of the week (usually Friday).  The students have the opportunity to turn their Tempting Ten in everyday of the week.  I will then put a star in the box of the question(s) that they have correct, or circle the box of the problem(s) that they have the opportunity to correct.  The Tempting Ten is ultimately due by Friday.  If, for example, a student turns it in on Tuesday and it is all correct, then they are already done for the week.

The idea behind the Tempting Ten is for review and mastery of concepts that have been learned throughout the Fourth Grade year.  That is why all the students have the opportunity to turn the Tempting Ten in to be checked throughout the week (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) and be able to make changes by Friday (they may turn it in everyday until they are happy with their work).  Tempting Tens are part of the students' grades and not turning the Tempting Ten in by Friday will result in a Zero.
