Meet Your Teacher

  •    Meet Your Teacher

I would like to take this time to help you get to know me a little better.  This is my seventeenth year teaching and I am very thankful to be a member of this great profession.  I taught fifth grade for seven years at Hopewell Elementary and prior to that two years in the Allentown School District.  Since the opening of the Intermediate Building I have taught fifth grade math and now I am loving my time in fourth grade.  I have found my sixteen years of teaching to be very enjoyable and rewarding.  My goal as a teacher is to create a year that is fun and exciting, while preparing my students both academically and emotionally for fifth grade.

I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University.  Most of you will learn that I am "Penn State Proud" through and through.  I earned a Masters in Classroom Technology in the Summer of 2004 and a second Masters in Educational Development and Strategies in the Summer of 2006 through Wilkes University.  I have taken additional courses each summer and will continue to do so in the future.

Outside of the classroom, my pride and joy are my sons Cameron and Blake.  Cameron is 8 years old and is the proud big brother to Blake who is 5 years old.  I also enjoy spending time with my husband, family and friends, cheering on Penn State, organizing things, watching television, and going to yard sales.
