I grew up in a small town in New Jersey and moved to Philadelphia to attend Saint Joseph's University. At SJU, I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education and my master's degree in Reading Education. Additionally, I hold certifications in English 7-12 and Math 7-9. While in school, I played on the SJU softball team and participated in service immersion trips to Tijuana, Mexico and Hazard, Kentucky. Of course, I also learned that The Hawk Will Never Die! Before joining the Intermediate School when it opened in 2009, I worked as a Learning Support teacher at Lower Merion High School, right outside of Philadelphia.
When I'm not at the IS, I spend every minute I can with my family. There are three little kiddos who call me mom.
If I get free time, which is rare these days, I enjoy reading and running.
