Anyone is free to use this wiki to find a good book.  If you would like to add your own book reviews, please see Mrs. Robbins for an account and training.

      

 You can now access the SLMS card catalog from home!  
This will allow you to not only see what we have, but also check the status of a book (in, out, reserved), as well as when a book is due back in the library!

SLMS students can now access periodical, newspaper and journal articles, as well as books, pictures, maps and TV/radio transcripts using "Electric Library".  This service      can be used by students and their families from school and/or home.  For use at home, you will need our school account name and password, which are available from Mrs. Robbins in the library.


 
We now have web access to "ACCESS PENNSYLVANIA".
SLMS Students:  Feel free to browse the database and let us
know if you would like to borrow materials from another ACCESS PA library.

Through Access PA, we have rights to the POWER project, which stands for Power Online World of Electronic Resources.  The following AND MORE are available through this project:  EBSCOhost, ERIC, SIRS Discoverer, Grove's Dictionaries, Newspaper Source, LitFinder, Searchasaurus and Access PA. This link will not function on any computer outside the SLMS library, but these resources are available to you from home (with a valid Southern Lehigh Public Library card barcode number).  Use the following link to access the public library's web site:  http://www.solehipl.org

The COIN program features career planning for college and career bound students.  The program features over 2000 occupations, links to relevant internet sites, comparisons between two occupations and ability to save searches.  Over 3400 2-year and 4-year colleges with links to college websites, college letter writer, comparison between colleges, 141 apprenticeship programs, 450 college majors, scholarship information with links to online scholarships. 
 
8th grade SLMS students may log into COIN using their student ID#
for both the user name and password.  Our site ID is PA16049.
