    Please note that camps are subject to being cancelled based on low enrollment. Registration is for Southern Lehigh School District students. Grade level requirements are based on the grade level students will be going into in the 2020-2021 school year.

     

Liberty Trails (Incoming 3rd through 7th Grades)

  • DATES:  June 15th to July 1st
    LOCATION:  Liberty Bell Elementary School
    TIME: 8:00 am to 3:00 or 5:00 pm (Times vary each day dependent upon activity.)
    REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  May 31, 2020

    Are you interested in adventure and exploration? Do you like field trips? The Liberty Trails Summer Camp offers participants something new each day. During the thirteen day camp, adventure begins at Liberty Bell Elementary School where participants will learn background information about the days experience, then it is off to the buses. Previously, participants have visited Adventure Aquarium, Ashland Coal Mine, Hopewell Furnace, Sandy Hook National Recreation Area, Hawk Mountain, Crystal Cave, Tannersville Cranberry Bog, and more. Sign up today and see what experiences await you. This camp is designed for incoming 3rd through 7th grade students. The meeting place will be at the Liberty Bell Elementary School from June 15th to July 1st (weekdays). The first day of camp will begin at 8:00 am as campers are greeted at the front office. On most days thereafter camp will begin at 8:00 am and end between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm dependent upon the activity. There is an overnight camp as part of the experience. A parent orientation will be held where questions can be answered by camp leaders. The date of orientation has yet to be determined. MAX 50 STUDENTS. Students who have not previously participated in the Liberty Trail Summer Camp will be given first priority to attend. The cost is $400 per student. The deadline for registration is May 31, 2020 and the registration fee is non-refundable after May 31, 2020.

STEM Camp (Incoming 3rd through 5th Grades)

  • DATES:  June 22nd to June 26th
    LOCATION:  Intermediate School
    TIME: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
    REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  May 31, 2020

    STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Camp is a way for students to develop an understanding of the neverending possibilities of job options in their future. During camp week, participants will be diving into several hands-on activities to demonstrate how exciting STEM can be. Students will be working with a variety of technology to develop their concept of STEM. This camp is for incoming 3rd through 5th grade students. It will be offered at the Intermediate School from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm during the week of June 22nd to June 26th. MAX 25 STUDENTS. The cost is $110 per student. The deadline for registration is May 31, 2020. This camp will be cancelled if there are less than 11 participants.

Art Camp (Incoming 5th and 6th Grades)

  • DATES:  July 20th to July 24th
    LOCATION: Intermediate School
    TIME: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
    REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  May 31, 2020

    Do you love creating? Are you a budding artist? Then this camp is for you! Come spend your mornings for a week in July exploring various materials and mediums that professional artists and designers use. Participants will be encouraged to use self-expression and imagination under the guidance of a professional art educator. This camp is designed for incoming 5th and 6th grade students and will be offered at the Intermediate School from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm during the week of July 20th to July 24th. MAX 15 STUDENTS. The cost is $110 per student. The deadline for registration is May 31, 2020. This camp will be cancelled if there are less than 11 participants.

STEAM Camp (Incoming 7th and 8th Grades)

  • DATES:  July 13th to July 17th
    LOCATION:  Middle School
    TIME: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
    REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  May 31, 2020

    STEAM is the fusion of “arts, creative, and self-aware studies" with STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) to engage students and foster high achievement in all areas. STEAM and STEM are about exploration of ideas and possibilities. Both have a “process and product" aspect and require students to engage in creative and critical thinking that supports collaborative learning. During camp, participants will create several sketches in a sketchbook/engineer’s type notebook in preparation for creating their project. This camp is for incoming 7th and 8th grade students and will be offered at the Middle School from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm during the week of July 13th to July 17th. MAX 25 STUDENTS. The cost is $110 per student. The deadline for registration is May 31, 2020. This camp will be cancelled if there are less than 22 participants.

MakerSpace Camp (Incoming 7th and 8th Grades)

  • DATES:  July 20th to July 24th
    LOCATION:  Middle School
    TIME: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
    REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  May 31, 2020

    MakerSpace Camp provides students an opportunity to create and innovate. Participants will experiment with tools that involve designing, coding, building, programming, crafting, and possibly even inventing. Students can explore the following: technology like Sphero/Ollie/Ozobot robots, 3d printing pens, Snap Circuits, Arduino kits, and Raspberry Pi; building with Lego and K’nex; coding with Makey-Makey; virtual reality with Google Cardboard; and crafting supplies like Aquabeads, origami and needlepoint. No prior experience necessary. It is designed for incoming 7th and 8th grade students and will be offered in the Middle School from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm during the week of July 20th to July 24th. The cost is $110 per student. MAX 13 STUDENTS. The deadline for registration is May 31, 2020. This camp will be cancelled if there are less than 11 participants.
