Liberty Trails Summer Camp 2024

Liberty Trails Summer Camp

June 17-July , 2024

(please note dates are tentative and subject to change within a few days)

Are you interested in learning and exploring fun places in and around the Lehigh Valley?

Liberty Trails Summer Camp offers kids something new each day! The adventure begins at Liberty Bell Elementary School where participants will learn background information about the day’s experience.  Then it’s off to the buses! Previous trips have included Adventure Aquarium, Ashland Colar Mine, Sandy Hook National Recreation ARea and many more.  The Camp concludes with a 2-night cabin camping experience at Pocono Environmental Education Center.  Historical, geographical, environmental, and cultural themes are woven into this program.  This camp is designed for students currently in 2nd through 6th grades.

The camp meets at Liberty Bell Elementary to start the day.  Most days begin at 8:00am and end 3:00 and 5:00 pm depending upon the destination.  It is the responsibility of the family to provide transportation to and from Liberty Bell during the program.  The cost for this program is $400 per student.  Registration is open for Southern Lehigh School District students only.  There is a maximum of 50 students.  Please consider your child’s other activities when making a decision about this camp, due to limited spaces we would want students who can make all, or the large majority of days to attend.

There will be a Parent Orientation meeting at Liberty Bell Elementary School on May 21st at 5:00pm.  We will have details about the trips and we will collect parent volunteers interested in attending as chaperones.  Please remember all chaperones must have their clearances on file in the district office.

Interested students MUST sign up:  https://forms.gle/gsqa6xy2Fs3QJ3Vf9

The Deadline to sign up is May 17th, 2024.

The deadline for refund is May 30, 2024.  The District reserves the right to cancel the camp based on extenuating circumstances.

Camp Leaders:  Nathan Hallman and Amy Huber **district emails will be available at the parent meeting. Please contact mansfieldb@slsd.org with questions.
