Spanish Immersion Program Information 2024-2025
Dear Southern Lehigh Kindergarten Families,
As you know Southern Lehigh is very fortunate to have a Spanish Immersion program beginning in Grade 1. This has been a successful program for over 30 years. The program in grades 1, 2 and 3 is located at Liberty Bell Elementary School, with grades 4 and 5 at JPLIS. The Spanish Immersion program will be hosting parent information nights on January 25th and March 21st from 4-5pm at Liberty Bell Elementary School. The Spanish Immersion class, limited to 29 students, is picked with two lotteries (if needed) in May. The first lottery is for siblings of current Spanish Immersion students. The second is for new Spanish Immersion students. In order to be eligible for the lottery, a student must:
- Be enrolled in the Southern Lehigh School District by May 10, 2024
- Complete and submit a commitment agreement, found on the web page, by May 10, 2024,
- Complete the interest form below.
Further details and instructions for enrolling in the SLSD will be communicated to families who complete the Spanish Immersion interest form.
If you are interested in the Spanish Immersion program for your first grader for the 2024-2025 school year, the first step is to complete the attached form by March 1, 2024.
