2019-20 District Calendar Approved

At the School Board meeting on Monday, April 8, the District calendar for the 2019-20 school year was approved.  Input from the community, students and staff has been taken into account for this calendar and changes have been made based on that feedback. The Friday before President’s Day and Thursday of Spring Break have now become Act 80 Professional Development Days. Act 80 days are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for professional development of staff, and students do not report, but the days still count in the total student days. This means that regardless of inclement weather throughout the year, those days will remain as non-student days and will not be lost for make up purposes. There are three make up days built into the calendar for snow purposes, and any additional days after that will be made up in June. Thank you to all the parents, students, and staff who have provided feedback on the calendar
