Governor Wolf today announced that all schools will be closed for the remainder of this 2019-20 school year.
The Continued Education Plan currently in place was designed to extend until the end of the current school year if needed in order to minimize further disruption to students and families. The district remains committed to providing students with online learning, while maintaining a focus on the social and emotional needs of students and families at this difficult time.
This extended closure gives more clarity for districts on events and activities scheduled between now and the end of the school year. Further communication about those activities, along with information about plans for the fall, will be shared in due course.
The District’s spring break begins today for students and staff, and continues through Monday, April 13, 2020. Any communication received during the break will be addressed upon our return on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Until then we hope we can all rest and relax for a few days and then continue together on this uncharted and unique journey.
