Yes!  Our Full Day Kindergarten program includes structured learning, physical activity (recess), and "brain breaks" built into their schedule to manage energy and attention spans appropriate for their age.  Children must be five on our before September 1, 2026 in order to register for Kindergarten.

The FDK day will align with regular elementary school hours, ensuring consistency and ease of bus/transportation scheduling.

Students will need to bring a lunch (or purchase one), a healthy snack, and a water bottle daily.  Teachers will provide details on school supplies.

The full-day structure allows for a complete literacy and math block, recess and lunch, special area classes, and science and social studies through play-based learning.

Play-based learning is an instructional approach in which children begin academic, social, and cognitive skills through guided, purposeful play. It blends child-initiated exploration with teacher-supported learning to support curiosity, problem solving, language development, and foundational concepts in a developmentally appropriate way.

No.  Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, the full day program will replace the half day program for all Kindergarten students in Southern Lehigh School District.
