Talented Teacher, Talented Students

Under the tutelage of art teacher Mrs. Yocum, 8th grade student artwork from the 2015-2016 school year now lines the halls of SLMS. Some of the artwork was submitted to the Scholastic Art Competition and was awarded Regional Gold and Silver Keys. One of the artworks displayed "Inverse Purity", received a National Silver Medal at the Scholastic Art Award ceremony in New York City.
