Early Dismissals

Regular medical and dental care appointments should be arranged so they do not conflict with school hours; however, the principal may permit students to have medical and dental appointments on school time when absolutely necessary.

A parent/guardian written request that the student is permitted to leave school before the regular dismissal time, or for a specified period of time during the day, must be presented to the reception desk before or during the homeroom period that morning.  Early dismissal slips are then given to the students.

An “Early Dismissal Permit” is to be signed by teachers so that the student receives any classwork for the missing class period.  The student must then return the slip to the office before leaving the building. Parents are to meet students at the front doors to be signed out.
