Hi everyone! My name is Nancy Smillie. I am excited for my 14th year at Hopewell teaching Kindergarten. I look forward to a wonderful year with my new group of Kindergarteners.
I received my degree from WCU. After spending 10 years at home raising my children I returned to teaching.
I am really excited to start this year in a beautiful new state of the art school building.

During my free time I enjoy long walks and gardening. I LOVE to cook and enjoy watching The Food Network and The Cooking Channel. Having Dinner Parties for friends and family is one of my favorite things to do. I REALLY LOVE playing and spending time with my dog. She is a Puggle. Her name is Perry!
I have three "children". They are young adults and I couldn't be prouder or happier for all their accomplishments in life so far.
