ASVAB Parental Consent
Southern Lehigh High School will offer an opportunity for students in grades 11 and 12 to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 beginning at 8:00 a.m. through Spartan period. The test is optional for students and only students who have parental consent will be able to take the ASVAB.
The ASVAB test is a multiple aptitude battery that tests a student’s knowledge in eight areas including: general science, arithmetic reasoning, word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, mathematics knowledge, electronics information, auto and shop information, and mechanical comprehension. The test battery enables students to evaluate their skills, estimate their performance in academic and vocational endeavors, and identify potentially satisfying careers. The information received from the test is only for the student’s benefit and will not be shared with military recruiters unless the student indicates that he/she is interested in the military.
If you would like to participate in the testing, please complete the form below and return it to the guidance office by Friday, March 20, 2020.
*Forms can also be picked up in the guidance office.
