Mrs. Lauren Wieder

Certified School Nurse

Lauren Wieder has been working as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) since 2009, before school nursing she had nursing experience with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries & home IV infusion. Lauren has her Master’s in Public Health from Walden University, Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Hahnemann University (Drexel) and an associate’s degree in Cognitive Retraining from Northampton Community College.

Mrs. Barbara Bracalente

Licensed Health Room Nurse

Mrs. Bracalente attended Seton Hall University and Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center school of nursing.  She worked for 10 years in labor and delivery and in the school setting over 15 years.

    Per Pennsylvania State requirements:
     
    11th grade- A completed physical exam needs to be turned into the nurse. This can include a private exam, sports physical or your driver's permit physical.

    The role of the school nurse is to maintain a high level of health, safety, and wellness among the students and staff.  Our primary responsibility is first aid for all illnesses and injuries that occur during school hours. Other important responsibilities include maintaining student health records, performing state mandated health screenings, administering doctor prescribed medications, nursing procedures and health counseling.
