Meet Ms. Downey
I am so happy to be a second grade teacher at Lower Milford Elementary School! This is my 19th year with my own classroom, and I can honestly say that I am still very happy to be a teacher! It's a very rewarding profession! Lower Milford is an amazing school!

Some personal stuff...
I live in Center Valley with my daughter and our Havanese puppy, Minnie. My daughter is in 7th grade this year. She plays three sports: lacrosse, soccer, and field hockey. This keeps me very busy in the spring and fall!
My education...
I attended Bethlehem public schools, graduating from Liberty High School in 1987. I graduated from Kutztown University in 1991 with Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood. While teaching full time, I received my Master's Degree from Wilkes University in 2000. This degree is also Elementary Education, but with a concentration in Classroom Technology.
Things I love that are not school related...
Being with my daughter... any time, any place
Spending time with my favorite people
Going to the movies- love the popcorn with butter, of course!
Hershey chocolate- Kisses and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Reading on my Nook... every day
Going to the beach- and reading my books in the sunshine!Cupcakes, donuts, and junk food!
Ok... strawberries, bananas, oranges and grapes, too!
Shopping- clothes, shoes, school supplies, gifts, doesn't matter!
Summer vacation- no need to explain, I'm sure!
