Hello, my name is Megan Valley
and I am a first year teacher here at Liberty Bell! I graduated from Kutztown
University in May with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education PreK-4. I am
thrilled to get a job right out of college at such an amazing school in a
wonderful school district. During my time at Kutztown, I had a professional semester, which pairs a teacher candidate with a classroom teacher prior to student teaching. I was placed in a first grade classroom at Blue Mountain West Elementary. I was required to teach 5 lessons but I was fortunate enough to have taught well over that requirement, thanks to my cooperating teacher. I also had two student teaching placements the following semester, one of which was in a Kindergarten classroom at Richmond Elementary School. My second placement was in a Second Grade classroom at William Penn Elementary in Bethlehem.
After graduation I began substituting within the Nazareth Area School District elementary schools for the remainder of the school year.
I do have high intentions of furthering my education once I get acclimated with my responsibilities within the district.
