Presentations on 7th grade Course Selection and topics concerning your child’s transition to the Middle School.
We are in planning mode for this coming school year and are looking at our dismissal and especially parent pick-up process. We would like to return to a process similar to our "pre-pandemic" parent pick-up but need to collect some information for planning purposes. Our interest is to recapture our instructional time with children, which does add up if we continue to begin our pick-up process at roughly 3:10 PM. Moving it back to 3:25 PM for all pick-ups will reclaim about 45 hours of instructional time over a 180 day school- year. To put that in perspective, we have 5 hours and 45 minutes outside of lunch and recess that is dedicated to instruction. Moving parent pick-up back to 3:25 will result in almost 8 days of instruction. We would like to reclaim that time, but also continue to be both safe and efficient during dismissal. Please take a moment to share your plans for next year with us by filling out this short (one question) form.
