Free & Reduced Meals
**Waivers for free meals have NOT been extended for the 2022-2023 school year. Families who are not directly certified by the State of Pennsylvania will have to fill out an application for this school year.**
Extra servings of the offered menu items are available for an additional cost.
Families are encouraged to fill out and submit a new free and reduced lunch application each year. Families MAY be eligible for other Federal programs, which can provide additional funding, such as the P-EBT program. Your eligibility for these programs will be based on the information you provide on your application.
Free or reduced meals are available to students who qualify based on federal guidelines for family size and income. You can apply directly online at www.compass.state.pa.us. Applications are also available at the bottom of this webpage or at the main office of your child's school. Completed paper applications should be returned to the main office at your child's school - Attention: Coordinator of Food Services.
New applications MUST be submitted every year, unless you are directly certified by the State of Pennsylvania and receive a letter from Southern Lehigh School District.
Prior year status will end after October 12, 2022.
Benefits may change, depending on the information given, when a new application is submitted.
New applications may be submitted at any time during the school year, as household income and/or family size change.
- If you fill out a paper application, it needs to be signed and we need the original signed application. DO NOT take a picture of or scan and email, or fax your application. Applications MUST be turned in to your child's school office or mailed to: 5775 Main Street, Center Valley, PA 18034, attention: Coordinator of Food Services.
- Applications submitted using the www.COMPASS.state.pa.us website will be submitted electronically and DO NOT need to be printed and submitted like paper applications.
If you received a Notice of Direct Certification letter from Southern Lehigh School District prior to the start of school, you do not need to fill out and send in a free and reduced application.
If you did not receive a Notice of Direct Certification letter from Southern Lehigh School District prior to the start of the current school year, you MUST submit a free and reduced application to be considered for free and reduced benefits. We only notify those families who are listed on the Direct Certification list and qualify for free meals, by sending them a letter.
