    V.    CURRICULUM/STUDENTS AND STAFF ACTIVITIES

    A.    Building Update

    Southern Lehigh High School...Mrs. Siegfried, Mrs. Guarriello, Mr. Ruhf

    B.    Completion of School Year

    The Administration recommends approval of the request for student #10317 to complete the 2016-2017 school year in accordance with provisions of Policy #202. 

    C.    Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living Agreement

    The Administration recommends approval of the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living (LVCIL) agreement for student #10417. This agreement will be paid utilizing IDEA grant funding. (V, C)

    D.    Pediatric Therapeutic Services, Inc.

    The Administration recommends approval of the Pediatric Therapeutic Services, Inc. agreement for speech and language therapy services due to the anticipated childrearing leave of Chelsea Lilly, Speech-language pathologist at Hopewell Elementary and Joseph P. Liberati Intermediate Schools. This agreement will be paid utilizing IDEA grant funding. (V, D)

    E.   Southern Lehigh High School Rifle Booster Club Bylaws

    The Administration recommends approval of the Southern Lehigh High School Rifle Club Bylaws. (V, E)

    VI.   BUSINESS AND FINANCE

    A.     Accounts Payable

    *The Administration recommends approval of the bills to be paid as of January 23, 2017. (VI, A)

    B.    Treasurer’s Report and Investment Report for the month of November

    *The Administration recommends approval of the Treasurer’s Report and Investment Report for the month of November, 2016. (VI, B)

    C.    Elected Tax Collector Compensation

    The Administration recommends the following changes to the compensation schedule that is currently in place for the elected tax collectors, effective January 1, 2018: (VII, C)

    a.     Increase the rate paid per bill for the first 2000 parcels per municipality (currently at $2.80) by 3% annually for the following four years. 

    b.    Increase the rate paid per bill for any parcels in excess of 2000 per municipality (currently at $1.91) by 3% annually for the following four years.

    D.    2017-2018 Lehigh Carbon Community College Proposed Budget

    The Administration recommends approval of the proposed Operating and Capital Budget for Lehigh Carbon Community College for 2017-2018. (VI, D)

    E.    Food Services Agreement

    The Administration recommends approval for Third Party Procurement Specialist Services agreement with K12Services, Inc., pursuant to the Purchasing Cooperative Request for Proposals for the procurement of school food service commercial and commodity foods and supplies. (VI, E)

    *The Administration recommends accepting the retirement of Judith Heidecker, Cafeteria Worker, Southern Lehigh High School, effective December 31, 2016. Ms. Heidecker was an employee of the district for 13 years.

    2.    Resignation

    *The Administration recommends accepting the resignation of the following staff:

    Henry Lemmons, Cafeteria Monitor, Hopewell Elementary School, effective January 10, 2017.

    3.    Unpaid Leave

    *The Administration recommends approval of unpaid leave of the following staff:

    Diane Price, Cafeteria Worker, Southern Lehigh High School, March 29, 30 and 31, 2017.

    Margaret Treacy, Special Education Instructional Assistant, Joseph P. Liberati Intermediate School, March 7, 8 and 9, 2017.
